ARTISTS STATEMENT
As a multimedia artist, my work explores the intersections of identity, gender, and colonial history, shaped by my experience as an Irish woman. Through painting, film, music, performance, and installation, I engage with the quiet protest of apathy—examining the silencing and invisibility women often face. My work embodies a narrative of vulnerability and resilience, challenging patriarchal structures while emphasizing the emotional landscapes of women's lives.
Drawing from both personal and collective experience, I create spaces that blend the political, geographical, and performative, allowing audiences to witness the complexities of being a woman in a world shaped by power dynamics. Whether through cinematic explorations of urban environments or installations that confront the fragility of human existence, my goal is to invite reflection, to slow down the viewer, and to honor the often overlooked narratives of women.
